Electro-Technical Engineering

If you’re passionate about advanced marine technology, luxury engineering environments, and global travel, a role as an Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) on a superyacht offers an exceptional career path. As the demand for smarter, more energy-efficient vessels continues to grow, qualified ETOs are playing an increasingly critical role in modern yacht operations.

In this category, you'll find the latest Electro-Technical Engineer jobs on superyachts, from entry-level positions to senior ETO roles across private and charter vessels. Whether you're STCW-certified and ready to step into your first rotational contract, or a seasoned engineer looking for your next challenge aboard a 100m+ motor yacht, Yotspot connects you with the world's leading yachts and crewing agencies.

An Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) is responsible for managing and maintaining all of a yacht’s electrical and electronic systems. These include: AV/IT systems (audio, video, satellite comms, WiFi), Navigation and bridge electronics, Power generation and distribution, Lighting, HVAC, Galley and automation systems, Battery banks, UPS and energy storage, Control systems for propulsion and stabilisers

ETOs often work alongside Chief Engineers and must ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations, manufacturer specifications, and the yacht’s operational requirements.
