Electrical Technician/ Project Engineer
Salary : EUR 3500 to EUR 6000 Per Month
Electrical Technicians and Project Engineers support the design, installation, and troubleshooting of advanced electrical systems on superyachts, particularly during refits, build phases, or periods of significant AV/IT upgrades. These roles may be based ashore or at sea, depending on project scope and yacht requirements.
Project Engineers work closely with shipyards, subcontractors, and yacht management companies to ensure the correct implementation of technical specs, compliance with maritime regulations, and smooth handover to onboard crew. Electrical Technicians provide the hands-on expertise to install, test, and certify high-end electronic systems, often in complex multi-vessel environments.
These roles are well suited to candidates with strong technical backgrounds and a detail-oriented mindset, often coming from commercial, naval, or shipyard settings.
Qualifications, training and skills required
- Marine or Electrical Engineering Degree
- Experience in yacht, naval, or shipyard environments
- Competence with power distribution, sensors, and automation
- Familiarity with classification society standards
- STCW (if onboard work is required)
