Location: Hamptons, NY, USA
Contract: Full-Time, Seasonal (could possibly go permanent)
Salary: USD, Competitive

An UHNW family is seeking an experienced and technically proficient Seasonal House Manager to oversee their high-specification Hamptons residence from May through September. This is a live-in role within a luxury holiday home occupied by a family of five, requiring a hands-on, engineering-focused professional who can take full responsibility for the property’s smooth operation, safety and presentation.
The House Manager will assume complete oversight of the home’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, ensuring all plant, HVAC, AV/IT, lighting controls, security, pool and irrigation systems are fully operational at all times. Daily system checks, preventative maintenance planning and first-line troubleshooting will form a core part of the role. The successful candidate will maintain detailed service records, anticipate issues before they arise and ensure the property operates to the highest technical standards.
The role also involves managing and supervising contractors and service providers, sourcing trusted local vendors and maintaining strong professional relationships within the Hamptons community. All external and internal works must be carefully coordinated, monitored and delivered to an exceptional standard. Additionally, you will also oversee service schedules for landscaping, pool maintenance, HVAC, security and specialist systems, ensuring discretion and quality throughout.
Supporting the family’s day-to-day needs as required, and working collaboratively with the housekeepers and chef, you will be a hands-on team player with a can-do attitude. Occasional driving or errands may also be requested. This position is ideally suited to a candidate with a background as a superyacht engineer, estate engineer or similar, who is confident managing complex residential systems and smart home technology. The successful individual will be practical, solutions-driven, highly organised and discreet, with a calm and professional manner suited to a family environment.

The family are really lovely and make sure that staff get rest, though it is very busy over the summer season, so days can be long.
