Summary
TYS Recruitment is seeking a positive, active, and team-oriented Female Sous Chef (due to cabin arrangements) to join a highly regarded 45m private vessel. This is a rare opportunity to join a program defined by longevity, a supportive culture, and a "crew-first" mentality.
The Head Chef has been with the program since 2015 and has established a seamless, system-driven galley. You will be joining a stable team where the previous Sous Chef only left to pursue a career change outside the industry.
The Role & Galley Culture
This position operates on a rotation, sharing responsibilities with another Sous Chef to ensure the Head Chef can take leave when guests are not on board.
- When guests are onboard (approx. 80 days/year), you work in tandem with the Head Chef. Guest lunches feature impressive 16-item buffets, and dinners are full A La Carte . High-quality sushi prep is a daily standard.
- The owners believe crew food is the heartbeat of the boat. The focus is on variety and flavour (especially Asian cuisine). You will be expected to provide snacks for tea breaks and a signature "Big Breakfast" every Wednesday.
- The Head Chef is a dedicated mentor who maintains high standards of cleanliness and organisation. This boat heavily invests in professional development, having previously sent chefs for sushi training and for pastry.
Based permanently in Rhodes, the boat offers a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
- Active Crew: The team is very fit; they enjoy running, gym workouts, and hiking. This is a non-party boat focused on wellness and crew dynamics.
- Logistics: Excellent local shore relations. Provisioning is efficient with local suppliers delivering daily, and crew cars are available for local errands.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: 1–2 seasons is ideal, but we are open to greener candidates with exceptional shoreside culinary backgrounds and a strong desire to learn.
- Personality: You must be positive, friendly, and "drama-free." The boat is a small environment, so fitting in with the happy, supportive crew is the primary priority

- Salary: €4,500 (Depending on experience).
- Rotation: 2 months on / 2 months off.
- Location: Permanently based in Greece.
- Start Date: ASAP (to trial and shadow before the mid-February guest trip).
