Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join the galley of a busy 70m+ private/charter, dual season yacht. This is a fast-paced, high-pressure but rewarding environment, with a sociable, active and positive crew dynamic.
The successful candidate will support the Head Chef in delivering the highest culinary standards to guests while ensuring smooth day-to-day galley operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in designing and executing diverse guest menus (fine dining, family style, themed, dietary)
- Prepare and present nutritious, varied crew meals
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service and provisioning
- Assist with provisioning, stock control and maintaining galley hygiene standards
- Adapt quickly to guest preferences and itinerary changes
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience as Sous Chef on 50m+ yachts
- Strong fine dining background; Michelin or high-end restaurant experience preferred
- Charter yacht experience advantageous
- Excellent culinary skills across varied cuisines and dietary requirements
- Organised, proactive and able to thrive in a collaborative galley environment
- Positive, adaptable and team-oriented attitude
