Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic First Mate to join a 40m support vessel that forms part of a larger fleet. This is a single season yacht based in the Mediterranean.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is dynamic, energetic and ready to step up into a First Mate role, while already bringing prior experience and confidence to the position. The successful candidate will be joining a small, tight-knit team and working closely alongside the Captain.
Key Requirements:
- Qualifications: Yachtmaster Offshore or higher, plus ECDIS certification.
- Previous deck experience is essential, with some bridge exposure and a few modules completed.
- Team player with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Enthusiastic and career-driven, with a willingness to grow into the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Captain in the safe operation and navigation of the vessel
- Leading and managing all deck operations and the deck team
- Taking charge of docking, anchoring, tender driving and watersports operations
- Overseeing deck maintenance, safety procedures and compliance
- Maintaining high standards of presentation and professionalism during owner use
