Position : Bosun/ Asst. Engineer

YM and AEC

Someone that is interested to assist in the ER when time allows. Help with toy maintenance, tenders, oil changes, etc. Primary job is Bosun.

Start date: Immediate

Itinerary:   Caribbean, shipping to Italy (2 months yard Italy) then cruising the Med. for summer season.

License: YM and AEC 1 and 2 ideally

Requirements: STCW+ Refresher as needed, PDSD, tender driving skills, interest/knowledge in engineering.  Experience as a Bosun or Lead Deck on larger yachts.

B1/B2 visa (min. 1 year)

Schengen if needed for Europe (min. 9 months)

ENG1 (min. 1 year)

Fluent English is required.

Must be familiar with the maintenance of the vessel. Painting must be of a professional standard. Teak repair , working with fiber glass, maintenance of lines and the operation of Deck equipment , Cranes and windlasses, drill and tap. Some one who takes great pride in their work, has great knowledge of products, strong knowledge of deck duties, has to be organized, can lead by example, manages with a calm professional demeanor, mentors the deck team, shipyard experience.

We are looking for someone that has been a bosun for at least 1 year prior or a lead deckhand for 2 years on larger yachts. 

Responsibilities: Full exterior duties, tender skills.

Job Specifics: Male only due to cabin arrangements. SHARED CABIN - NON SMOKER (on and off preferred), no visible tattoos preferred.

Salary range: Euro

Package: 38 days paid leave, standard medical and 1 flight. To be finalized during interview process.

Must be available to start asap.

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
• Drivers License

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RYA Yachtmaster Offshore

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC 1 & 2) Certificate
