Engineer in Sint Maarten

Summary

Position : Asst. Engineer - TEMPORARY Approximately until the end of May

Prefer a Y3 but not required UNLESS you will consider rotation later on.

Someone that is interested to assist the current Engineer with a Maintenance schedule.

Help with projects and ship yard. There will be two engineers on board (the current Y3 and you, plus an assistant engineer.  

You would join in the Caribbean - do a boss trip and then travel on transport to Italy where the boat will be in the yard for around 2 months.

Itinerary:   Caribbean, shipping to Italy (2 months yard Italy) 

License: Y3 ideally but just solid engineering and ship yard experience.

Requirements: STCW+ Refresher as needed, PDSD, AFF, solid mechanical, electrical. HANDS ON. 

B1/B2 visa (min. 1 year) - ideally but not mandatory

Schengen if needed for Europe (min. 5 months)

ENG1 (min. 1 year)

Fluent English is required.

Must be familiar with engine room maintenance, paperwork, etc. Professional standards. Some one who takes great pride in their work, has to be organized, able to take directions from the on board engineer, ship yard experience.

Italian build experience is a plus. San Lorenzo ideally.

Responsibilities: Full engine room maintenance. 

Job Specifics: Male only due to cabin arrangements. SHARED CABIN - NON SMOKER (on and off preferred), no visible tattoos preferred.

Salary range: Euro

Package: paid leave accumulative, standard medical and 1 flight. To be finalized during interview process.

Must be available to start asap. Prior to March 5th Please advise salary desired monthly.

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
• Drivers License

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC 1 & 2) Certificate
