The Candidate Specification
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join a busy and well-run 70m+ private and charter yacht. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef with a strong land-based background who is looking to break into the yachting industry and gain valuable onboard experience.
The vessel has an active summer season ahead, with eight weeks of charter already booked, making this a fast-paced and rewarding role. The Sous Chef will primarily be responsible for crew food but will play a key supporting role in guest food preparation and service during the busy charter periods. A third chef will join the galley during peak season to support operations.
Candidates should be hardworking, adaptable, and confident working in a high-pressure environment. A background in high-end restaurants is essential, with Michelin-star experience considered a strong advantage. This role suits someone eager to learn, grow within yachting, and contribute positively to a busy, professional galley team.
