We are currently looking for a Permanent First Mate to join a 24m Private/Charter Sailing Catamaran .
Our client is seeking an experienced First Mate for a 24m Sailing Catamaran operating primarily in the Mediterranean. This is a permanent position aboard a private and charter sailing catamaran, with responsibilities that include overseeing deck operations, maintaining the vessel during the winter season, and providing excellent service during charter and owner use. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing the boat in winter, and will be responsible for over seeing the maintanence alongside the deckhand. You should possess significant sailing boat experience, preferably with Catamaran expertise, and hold a YM Offshore certification. The role demands a responsible attitude, good teamwork, and a no-drama approach, reflecting the laid-back yet professional environment onboard.
Start date: 17th November
Candidate requirements:
- Experience as a First Mate or equivalent in sailing yachts
- Proven sailing boat background, with catamaran experience preferred
- Yachtmaster Offshore
- Valid STCW and ENG1
- Responsible for winter maintenance and general upkeep in Barcelona
- Ability to oversee the vessel in the absence of the Captain
- Good communication skills
- Flexible, responsible, and maintains a positive attitude
- Male or female candidates considered
- Prepared to work to a team and handle charter and owner usage period
Package:
- Salary: €4,000 - 4,500 pcm
- Leave: 44 days paid per year
