Summary
We are currently looking for a Permanent Chief Officer to join a 50m Private/Charter Motor Yacht .
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief Officer to join a 50m Private/Charter Motor Yacht operating primarily in the Mediterranean. The vessel, which is currently in the process of a sale and scheduled for yard work during the winter, offers the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate. As the second-in-command, the Chief Officer will work closely with the captain to ensure the safe and efficient day-to-day running of the yacht. The role requires a proactive leader with strong operational knowledge and excellent teamwork skills, ideally suited to someone ready to step into a pivotal onboard leadership position and contribute to the vessel’s continued success and maintenance standards. The vessel runs with a crew of 11 and 4 on deck.
Start date: ASAP (November)
Candidate requirements:
- Previous experience as a Chief Officer or First Mate on similar-sized yachts.
- Proficient with safety and navigation procedures aboard motor yachts.
- Valid STCW and ENG1 certifications.
- OOW 3000GT or higher qualification.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in yacht maintenance and safety equipment management.
- Jet driving and twin prop experience for larger chase boats.
- Good eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong watersports background.
Package:
- Salary: €6,000 - 7,000 pcm
