Summary
We are currently seeking a Rotational Chief Engineer to join a 50m Private Charter Motor Yacht.
The role involves overseeing the engineering department during a 2:2 rotation, ensuring the vessel's technical operations run smoothly both in private and chartered settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the yacht's propulsion, systems, and onboard machinery, alongside managing a dedicated assistant engineer. Based in Europe, the vessel is homeported to facilitate seamless operations across various locations, including Montenegro and Italy. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a Chief Engineer role on similar-sized commercial vessels, demonstrating strong technical knowledge, leadership, and problem-solving skills. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a professional crew, contributing to a vessel that is heavily chartered and financially rewarding through tips from satisfied clients.

Candidate requirements:
- Proven experience as Chief Engineer on yachts of similar size (46m-60m), with strong technical background.
- Experience working on commercial vessels with charter operations.
- Available to start ASAP, with flexibility for rotational schedule.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, capable of overseeing a team including an assistant engineer.
- Excellent communication skills, adaptable to international crew and ownership.
- No nationality preferences; open to candidates worldwide.
- Valid STCW and ENG1
- Preferably Y2 Chief Engineer
Package:
- Salary: €8,000 - 8,500 pcm
