LIVE-IN HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED FOR HNW FAMILY HOME IN THE COTSWOLDS

Salary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum, negotiable DOE

We are assisting a lovely informal HNW family with the recruitment of a proactive, experienced, and versatile live-in Housekeeper to ensure the smooth-running of their large family home in the Cotswolds. Organised, self-motivated and able to take initiative, you will be responsible for the daily upkeep and cleanliness of this 5-bedroom home used as a secondary residence by the family, as well as the separate 2-bedroom annex on-site.
Assisted by a part-time cleaner who is there two days per week, duties will include laundry and ironing, dusting, tidying and cleaning of all areas to ensure that the home is well maintained at all times. The family have school-aged children and a dog, so it is essential that the Housekeeper is child and pet friendly. A confident cook, you will be able to prepare family-style meals for the family when they are in residence and will be responsible for all household and grocery shopping.
Tech savvy and a confident communicator, you will be comfortable with managing household entertainment and security systems, and also manage and oversee any contractors, so a high level of spoken and written English is essential for this role. Due to the countryside location of the role, a driver is essential for this role, though having your own car is not a requirement.
Core working hours will be Friday to Monday, but flexibility is required to accommodate the family’s schedule. On occasion, you might also be required to assist at the family’s London home on a weekend by prior arrangement. The family are looking to appoint a trustworthy and reliable Housekeeper to remain with them long-term, and as part of the role occasional babysitting will be required as well. Accommodation is provided within the home in a spacious bedroom.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· Daily cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining areas
· Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management, including caring for fine fabrics
· Caring for high-end surfaces with delicate finishes
· Managing stocks of cleaning products and grocery shopping
· Cooking healthy, organic family-style meals for the family when they are in residence
· Receipt of deliveries and greeting contractors and tradesmen
· Managing household entertainment and security systems
· Errand running
· Ad-hoc babysitting
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
· Prior housekeeping and cooking experience in a high-end private household
· Fluency in English – written and spoken
· High attention to detail
· Able to work independently with little supervision
· Trustworthy, reliable and flexible
· Right to live and work in the UK
· Full UK driving license
· Child and pet friendly
· Excellent checkable references
