We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and hands-on Head Housekeeper to oversee the smooth running of a busy 7-bedroom, 3-storey family home in Chiswick. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, who thrives in a fast-paced household environment.
The family has children, though all childcare and cooking responsibilities are managed by the family's Nanny. Additional support is provided by a part-time housekeeper (20 hours per week), and the Head Housekeeper will play a key role in overseeing and working alongside the household team to ensure the property is maintained to the highest standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing household operations, overseeing contractors and maintenance schedules, and ensuring all aspects of the home are kept immaculate. This is a hands-on role, requiring an individual with proven experience caring for high-end wardrobes and fine fabrics, as well as confidence in household organisation and management. Working Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30, the family is seeking someone to join their team on a long-term basis.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Full responsibility for the master bedroom and ensuite bathroom, ensuring they are kept to the highest standard at all times
• Hands-on housekeeping, including cleaning, all family laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management (particularly fine fabrics and high-end clothing)
• Arranging for bed linens to be laundered externally when required
• Inventory management and control of all household cleaning products and toiletries
• Managing the smooth running of the household, including contractors, suppliers, and yearly maintenance schedules
• Supervising and working alongside the part-time housekeeper to ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standards
• Meeting and greeting visitors and assisting with household organisation as needed
• Ad hoc duties as required
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Previous experience working as a Housekeeper in a UHNW or high-end household
• Strong knowledge and experience with fine fabrics and high-end wardrobes
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage maintenance schedules and contractors
• Proactive, adaptable, and energetic, with the ability to think on your feet in a busy, fast-paced household
• Professional, discreet, and trustworthy with excellent interpersonal skills
• Team player with the ability to oversee and support other household staff
• DBS check or willingness to obtain one
• Fluent English, both spoken and written
• Excellent checkable references
