Engineer / Mate (Private 35m Motor Yacht, Barcelona)
We are seeking an experienced Engineer / Mate to join a private 35m motor yacht, permanently based in Barcelona. The yacht will remain in port over the winter with no immediate cruising plans, offering an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a stable role with great work-life balance.
The Role:
- Take charge of the engineering department, including engine room maintenance, preventative schedules, and AV/IT systems.
- Provide support on deck when required, including washdowns, covers, and navigation watches.
- Confidently operate and manage tenders up to 30ft.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified to at least Yachtmaster level.
- Previous engineering experience on yachts of a similar size.
- Strong tender-driving skills.
- EU or UK passport holder (due to location requirements).
- A team player with a relaxed, positive approach who fits into a social crew environment.
Package:
- Salary: €5,000+ DOE
- Leave: 2.5 days per month, but with extra flexibility — most crew receive an additional month off annually.
- Weekends off, relaxed working schedule, supportive owner and crew.
