A 120’ Ocean King (2023 build, 360GT) is seeking an experienced Captain for a strictly private program with a liveaboard Owner
The yacht is currently completing a significant shipyard period in Fort Lauderdale and will spend one week in Baker’s Bay, Bahamas (her winter base) at the end of March before crossing the Atlantic on her own keel to the Mediterranean (late April / May).
Mediterranean Season Overview (June–September)
- Owner onboard almost continuously (approx. 10 days off total)
- 8 days with 3–4 guests
- Tight cruising schedule
- Focus on Western Mediterranean (France, Italy, Spain, Monaco)
Excellent knowledge of the Mediterranean basin is essential, including ports, anchorages, routing and strong local agent network.
The Owner has clear operational expectations, although the broader program is still being structured.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 500GT CoC (mandatory)
- Strong private yacht background
- Western Mediterranean expertise essential
- Available for Atlantic crossing preferred (handover with current shipyard Captain)
- Comfortable with liveaboard Owner and dynamic schedule
- Mechanical/electrical aptitude appreciated (Italian-built systems knowledge a plus)
For Captains interested in a long-term dual-season position (Med/Bahamas), strong Bahamas cruising knowledge and valid B1/B2 visa required.
Full-time position preferred for a Captain seeking stability within a well-defined private program.
Discretion, professionalism, and strong Owner management skills are key.
