Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Rotational Sole Engineer to join a well-maintained 40m Motor Yacht operating a dual season itinerary.
- The yacht runs a mix of private use and busy charter periods
- This is a rotational position offering stability and longevity for the right candidate
- As Sole Engineer, you will have full responsibility for the technical operation of the vessel, reporting directly to the Captain
- You will be expected to manage the engine room independently and maintain the yacht to a high operational standards
- Maintenance and fault finding on generators, electrical systems, and AVIT
- Planned maintenance system management and detailed record keeping
- Budget control and spare parts procurement
- Shipyard periods and contractor supervision
- Supporting the crew during busy charter operations
- Y3 or equivalent preferred as a minimum
- Previous experience as Sole Engineer on 35m–45m yachts
- Strong working knowledge of Caterpillar engines
- Confident with electrical diagnostics and preventative maintenance
- Good communication skills and team oriented mindset
- Clean, tidy and professional working standards
- B1/B2 Visa is essential
- 2:2 Rotation
- Salary of $9,000 is on offer
- Start date: End of March
