Temporary 2nd Officer – 120m+ Motor Yacht (Europe)
Start: 6th March – 11th April
We are seeking an experienced Temporary 2nd Officer to join a 120m+ motor yacht for a fixed-term contract from 6th March until 11th April.
This role will assume full Navigation Officer responsibilities, supporting the bridge team during an active operational period. Single Cabin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full passage planning (coastal and ocean) in accordance with SOLAS and company SMS
- ECDIS route preparation, corrections, and documentation
- Chart folio management (paper & digital where applicable)
- Bridge watchkeeping duties
- Navigational publications updates and compliance
- Assisting with port documentation and pre-arrival requirements
- Supporting safety management and bridge administration
Requirements:
- OOW Unlimited minimum (Chief Mate preferred)
- Strong large-yacht experience (100m+ advantageous)
- Proven navigation and passage planning competency
- ECDIS certificate (type-specific preferred)
- Up-to-date STCW and ENG1
- Professional presentation and proactive attitude
The vessel operates to high standards with a structured programme and positive crew culture. We are looking for a confident, organised officer who can step in seamlessly and manage the navigation portfolio independently during the contract period.
