Summary
TEMP / RELIEF MATE – 34M PRIVATE/CHARTER MY (269GT)
February 7–16, with possibility of extension
We are seeking an experienced, qualified, and highly capable Relief Mate to join a well-run 34m (269GT) private/charter motor yacht from February 7–16 (potentially longer). You will be stepping directly into an active charter, with the yacht scheduled to pick up guests in Saint Martin on February 7, so we are looking for someone who is fully prepared to arrive, integrate quickly, and operate at a high standard from day one.
You will be joining an established program alongside a professional, energetic crew during a busy operational period. The current Mate has had to leave unexpectedly due to injury, so the ideal candidate must be ready to hit the ground running, fit in seamlessly with the team, and add immediate value to deck operations.
Program highlights:
• Caribbean-based operations
• Established private/charter program
• Supportive crew and shoreside management
• Busy but well-organized schedule
The right candidate will be:
• An experienced, fully qualified Mate (or equivalent) on similar-sized yachts
• Confident, professional, and proactive on deck
• Highly competent in seamanship and deck maintenance
• Comfortable supporting both private and charter operations
• Able to integrate smoothly and work cohesively with an existing crew
• A strong, confident tender driver with proven experience
• Positive, team-oriented, and solution-focused with a great attitude
Requirements:
• STCW 95
• ENG1
• B1/B2, Green Card, or U.S. Citizen
Essential Qualifications:
• Master/Skipper qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)
• RYA Yachtmaster Offshore, IYT Master 200
• Ideally OOW or working towards
If you are a capable, charter-experienced Mate who is confident stepping into a program at short notice, we’d love to hear from you.
Please apply with your CV, availability confirmation, and references.
