We are currently seeking a Permanent Captain to join a 45m Private Motor Yacht.
We are currently seeking a Permanent Captain for a 45m Motor Yacht that will be cruising worldwide. The captain will responsibilities covering the safe navigation, operation and maintenance of the vessel throughout various regions, including the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Pacific. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills, extensive experience in commanding similar-sized yachts and hold a valid Master 500GT Unlimited 200GT ticket. Knowledge of Italian language is essential, as the owner speaks and English. The vessel recently returned to class after a period of being out of class and saw repairs such as keel plating replacement and a thorough hull flush, with ongoing maintenance including HVAC and engine inspections, especially during the upcoming yard period in the States.
The vessel is currently in the USA and will be heading to the Bahamas for a 1 month owners trip before heading on its bottom to the Mediterranean.
Please Note: This is a live aboard owner boat with a maximum of 4-5 guests onboard at a time.
- This role is also open to couples as we will require a full crew for the vessel.

Candidate requirements:
- Proven experience as a Captain on similar-sized motor yachts (45m preferred)
- Master 500GT unlimited
- Valid STCW and ENG1
- Spoken Italian is essential
- Experience in world cruising, including long crossings and remote anchoring
- Comfortable managing technical and maintenance challenges, especially following repairs and yard periods
- Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of working with an inexperienced owner
- Ability to oversee safety, navigation, and compliance to MCA and ABS standards
Package:
- Salary: €12,000 - 13,000 pcm
