HMG is seeking an experienced Rotational Captain to join a professionally run 38m motor yacht operating dual seasons in the Mediterranean and Caribbean.
The yacht offers a balanced program of private and charter operations with a well-planned itinerary and clearly defined operational periods. The owners are highly regarded and value professional, motivated crew, and the current Captain is well respected. The program is known for excellent crew longevity across all departments, and this new rotational Captain role has been created to support a long-term, stable operation.
We are seeking a confident, professional leader who can integrate seamlessly with the established team and is looking for a long-term commitment.
Key Details:
- Position: Rotational Captain
- Vessel: 38m Motor Yacht

- Cruising Areas: Mediterranean & Caribbean
- Start Date: March 2026
- Cabin: Single
- Rotation: 8 weeks on / 8 weeks off (flexibility possible)
Package:
- Salary: USD $10,000 per month + tips
- Employment: Permanent rotational position
Requirements:
- 500GT Master’s Licence minimum
- Proven experience as Captain on similar-sized yachts
- Excellent, verifiable references with demonstrated longevity
- Strong charter experience (highly preferred)
- Clean insurance history and excellent manoeuvring abilities
- Demonstrated positive crew management and leadership history
- Hands-on approach when required (tender operations, occasional deck support)
- Strong reporting skills and sound financial accountability
Additional Advantage:
- Candidates with a partner seeking temporary work during charters will be viewed very favourably
- Preference given to people with residence in Europe or Americas.
