Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join a soon to be launched 55m support yacht as a 2nd Engineer.
- The yacht will operate within a fleet of similar sized yachts and will be privately run.
- Experienced yacht owner who truly understands the importance of crew welfare, support and development.
- You will be supporting the Chief Engineer on board and will be responsible for the maintenance of the large tenders and toys on board.
- For this position, the minimum license requirement is an AEC2. This could be a great opportunity for an experienced tender engineer looking to step up into a more senior position.
- There is a large crane on board and plenty of large tenders so some experience in this would go a long way.
- The Captain is looking to build a family style community on board and due to the nature of the vessel, it will be an "all hands on deck" environment. On that basis, they don't want any crew with big egos.
- The yacht will splash before the summer Mediterranean season and then cross over to the Caribbean/US after. On that basis, you will ideally have your B1B2 in hand.
- On offer is a salary up to $7,000 per month and this is very much DOE.
- 38 days of leave.
The start date for this role is ASAP. The Chief Engineer certainly has his hands full with the final stages of the build so would appreciate an extra pair of hands as soon as he can!
