We are seeking an experienced Mate / Deckhand to join a 24m SY a British-flagged Oyster 825, operating private and charter in the Mediterranean and currently based in Palma de Mallorca.
The ideal candidate will be a capable and confident sailor with experience on similar-sized sailing yachts and comfortable helming the vessel unsupervised on longer passages. This is a hands-on role on a yacht that actively cruises, so a strong work ethic, flexibility, and a positive “we can do this” team attitude are essential. The successful candidate must be willing to assist with all aspects of the vessel’s operation. Engineering knowledge would be an advantage.
Min requirements:
• Valid STCW
• Valid ENG1 Medical Certificate
• Yachtmaster Offshore preferred
• EU resident or valid Schengen visa
Salary & Benefits
• Salary: EUR 3,500 per month
• MLC-approved SEA contract
• 2.5 days’ leave per month plus 8 UK public holidays (pro rata)
• MLC-approved crew insurance
• Joining transport provided at start of contract
• Repatriation transport provided at termination of contract
