We are seeking a highly experienced and professional Captain to join a well-established 95ft private motor yacht. This is a true private program offering longevity, balance, and an exceptional cruising itinerary for the right individual.
The owner places strong value on professionalism, safety, and a positive onboard culture, and is looking for a Captain who brings extensive Mediterranean cruising experience, confident leadership, strong engineering and systems knowledge specific to Sunseeker yachts, and a thoughtful, flexible approach to itinerary planning.
Program & Itinerary Highlights
- Late January: Vessel will relocate to Puerto Rico, where guests will join for a relaxed cruise through the Caribbean islands
- Mid-March: Yacht is scheduled to be shipped to Italy
- Summer Season: Extensive Mediterranean cruising, with a balanced focus on both time at anchor and time in port. The owner enjoys exploring ashore, local culture, and destinations just as much as time at sea
- Post-Mediterranean Season: Plans to explore less-traveled and exciting cruising grounds, including London and the Baltic Sea
The owner prefers flexibility over rigid itineraries, if a destination is particularly enjoyable, plans may evolve to stay longer in a certain location. This program suits a Captain who is confident in planning but equally comfortable adapting to changes.
Guest Profile & Lifestyle
- Private use only
- Maximum of 6 guests at a time
- Guests are typically onboard no longer than one month at a time
- This is not a party boat

Responsibilities
- Overall command and safe operation of the vessel
- Advanced navigation and passage planning, with a strong focus on Mediterranean cruising
- Full compliance with flag state, class, and maritime regulations
- Crew leadership, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Budgeting, accounting, and cost control
- Maintenance planning and coordination with contractors and service providers
- Owner liaison and maintaining exceptional standards of service and presentation
- Oversight of safety drills, procedures, and all onboard documentation
Requirements
- Valid USCG 100GT (or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Captain on vessels of similar size
- Extensive Mediterranean cruising experience (essential)
- Caribbean experience strongly preferred
- Confident passage planning and itinerary development skills
- Hands-on understanding of Sunseeker engineering systems, with the ability to troubleshoot, manage preventative maintenance, and liaise effectively with service providers
- Calm, solutions-oriented leadership style
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Strong references from previous owners or senior captains
