Summary

We are seeking an experienced temporary / relief Captain to cover a paternity leave period aboard a well-run 34m private motor yacht.

The role is expected to commence late February and run through April, covering an active operational period.

Program Overview

  • Private motor yacht, 34m
  • Caribbean cruising anticipated during the relief period
  • Return crossing to South Florida
  • Preparation and attendance support for the West Palm Beach Boat Show
  • Professional, established program with shoreside support

Key Responsibilities

  • Full command of the vessel during the relief period
  • Safe navigation and operational oversight
  • Managing owner trips and itinerary execution
  • Crew leadership and continuity of onboard standards
  • Overseeing passage planning, crossing, and show prep
  • Liaison with management and vendors as required

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience as Captain or relief Captain on similar-sized yachts
  • Comfortable stepping into an established program
  • Strong Caribbean and South Florida knowledge
  • Professional, adaptable, and confident decision-maker
  • Available from late February through April

This is a great short-term opportunity for a seasoned Captain seeking a defined relief role within a solid private program.
