The ETO will report to the Chief Engineer and work alongside the 2nd and 3rd Engineers. The role requires the ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and maintain a professional presence when dealing with the owner and guests.
Programme:
Private yacht, expedition style cruising with a multinational crew, exploring off-the-beaten-track locations throughout the Southern African region and Indian Ocean. The vessel is based out of Cape Town, with a fishing, diving, and research element to the programme. Ideally suited to someone with ties to Cape Town and surrounding areas. Longevity is key, and we are looking for a minimum 2-year commitment.
Vessel:
The vessel was originally launched in 1980's as a supply ship and later converted. This is not a ‘white’ boat in the traditional sense, with utilitarian but well-functioning systems on board. Operational readiness and functionality are the main objectives.
Well-established vessel owner from a non-sanctioned country.
Good budget for maintenance, safety, and crew welfare.
