Summary
West Nautical are seeking an experienced First Officer for an exciting 70m new build launching in Spring.
This is a great opportunity to join a yacht at the start of her launch, with all crew being newly appointed & to be involved in the hiring of the deck team under your command.
The Captain is passionate about his First Officer gaining as much drive time as possible, with the intention of stepping up to the Captain role in the future.
This is a dual season vessel, great owners & under the command of a Captain who has worked with the family for many years.
The owners have previously owned yachts, so are well versed in crew retention & keeping a positive, happy workplace at all times.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience on similar sized vessels, with at least 3 seasons. Longevity in a role is vital, with a minimum of 2 years in one position.
No rotation to start but will come into place within the year.
Open to a couple with a Chief Stewardess, similar size yacht experience.
Qualifications required:
STCW, ENG1
Chief Mate OOW 3000gt
SSO
Good engineering knowledge AEC1 & 2 an advantage
Previous experience on a similar size vessel
2 years minimum longevity in one position
European passport ideally.
