A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Captain to take command of a 44m private vessel based full-time in South Florida. The yacht is about to complete a sale and will immediately be placed back on the market. This program requires a Captain who is exceptionally organized, polished, and able to keep the vessel in continuous show-ready condition for brokers and prospective buyers.
This is a calm, straightforward program with little to no guest usage. In the rare event the vessel is used, additional temporary crew will be brought onboard to support the trip. The primary focus is operational readiness, presentation, and smooth coordination throughout the sales process.
Responsibilities
- Oversee safe and compliant daily vessel operations
- Maintain the yacht to an impeccable, show-ready standard at all times
- Lead and support a crew of 5, maintaining a professional and positive culture
- Coordinate viewings, trials, and last-minute showings with brokers and management
- Handle planning, budgeting, and oversight of maintenance, contractors, and cosmetic upkeep
- Ensure the vessel remains fully functional, polished, and inspection-ready
- Provide clear communication to management and sales teams throughout the listing period
Requirements
- Strong background in project management, yard periods, and refit oversight
- Previous Captain experience on vessels 35m–50m
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in vessel presentation
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Flexibility with weekend availability for showings
- Professional, calm, and solutions-focused demeanor
- Steady career history with solid references preferred
