CAPTAIN – 43m Alloy Motor Yacht
Location: Spain (in shipyard; will remain Spain-based)

A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Captain to take command of a beautifully built 43m Alloy private vessel. The yacht is currently in a shipyard in Spain and will remain Spain-based following the yard period. The program offers stability, a supportive ownership structure, and generous leave, making it an attractive long-term position for the right leader.
This vessel requires a polished, professional Captain with a strong engineering understanding, excellent crew management abilities, and a calm, solutions-focused style. Only non-American candidates will be considered for compliance and crewing compatibility.
Responsibilities
- Full command of vessel operations, safety, navigation, and crew leadership
- Oversee the completion of the current shipyard period and ensure a seamless transition into regular operations
- Maintain strong relationships with the yard, contractors, surveyors, management, and owners
- Ensure the yacht remains fully compliant with MLC and relevant flag/state requirements
- Build and lead a cohesive, motivated crew culture
- Manage budgets, maintenance schedules, planned maintenance systems, and supplier relationships
- Prepare the vessel for active private cruising following shipyard completion
Requirements
- Master 500/3000 CoC (or equivalent recognized license)
- Previous Captain experience on vessels 35m–50m
- Strong technical and yard-period experience
- Excellent record of longevity and strong references
- Professional presentation and confident communication style
- Non-US passport holders only
- Ability to start as soon as possible
