About the Yacht
105’ Mangusta recently shipped from the USA to the UAE. She will be based in Abu Dhabi for the foreseeable future and is used exclusively for day cruising by her American owners. The vessel runs with 4 full-time crew: Captain, Mate/Engineer, Chef, and Sole Stew. The owners are described as lovely and generous and enjoy a relaxed, professional onboard atmosphere.
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Mate/Engineer to work closely with the Captain, taking equal responsibility for deck and engineering duties (approx. 50/50 split). The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and enjoy a busy, active program that includes lots of watersports.
Requirements
- Yachtmaster Offshore (minimum)
- AEC 1 required; AEC 2 preferred
- Dive qualifications a plus but not essential
- Experience handling and maintaining tenders (36ft Intrepid & 505 Williams)
- Strong all-round deck and engineering skills
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
