The Candidate Specification
The 3rd Officer will assist the 2nd Officer and Chief Officer with all bridge-related operations. This includes navigation watchkeeping, passage planning assistance, safety drills, and maintaining navigational equipment. While the 2nd Officer will take the lead on most bridge matters, the 3rd Officer is expected to support and learn proactively, contributing to a high-performing bridge team and be the safety officer on board.
This role is ideal for someone who has recently gained their OOW. The right candidate will be confident but humble, eager to grow, and bring a strong work ethic with an approachable attitude.
- Required experience: Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a bridge support role.
- Qualification: OOW 3000 , STCW & ENG1 (valid and up to date)
- Required Visa: Valid Schengen and B1/B2 preferred
- Due to Cabin arrangements: Male
