The Candidate Specification
We are seeking a hardworking and motivated Deckhand to join a 70M+ private yacht. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a trade skill like carpentry, trying to get into the industry or someone who is eager to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience on a larger yacht.
The ideal candidate will have a team-oriented mindset and enjoy being part of a sociable crew who like to watch sports such as football and rugby together. A trade background such as carpentry or other hands-on experience, is highly desirable, as is confidence with tasks like painting, varnishing, and fairing. You'll be exposed to all elements of deck operations, so a practical, can-do attitude is key. The yacht will be going into a yard period for the winter.
We're looking for someone who is well-spoken, carries themselves professionally, and wants to build a lasting career in yachting. This is not a role for someone chasing travel; it's ideal for a deckhand focused on learning, growing, and being a valued part of a tight-knit, high-performing crew.
