The Candidate Specification
We are seeking a highly competent 2nd Officer with a solid background in managing bridge and safety operations. The ideal candidate will have a few years’ experience in a 2/O role and be ready to hit the ground running. You must be passionate about maintaining a strong safety culture and possess a proactive, team-oriented mindset. Familiarity with Kongsberg Type Specific systems. A B1/B2 visa is essential, and preference will be given to candidates holding a Chief Mate 3000 ticket.
You will be responsible for supporting the Chief Officer in all bridge and safety operations. This includes passage planning, drills, and overseeing safety equipment. You must demonstrate leadership potential and possess excellent organisational and communication skills to ensure smooth daily operations onboard.
- Required experience: A minimum of 2 years in a 2nd Officer role, experience with bridge and safety systems, proven leadership ability
- Qualification: OOW 3000, STCW, ENG1, B1/B2 Visa, Chief Mate 3000 preferred
