The Candidate Specification
We are currently seeking a male Deckhand to join a busy, professionally run private yacht with a fantastic crew onboard.This is a great opportunity for someone with a basic understanding of yachting and some prior experience. The right candidate will be safety-conscious, mature, and confident in their abilities, with a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to work hard and learn.
You’ll be involved in all deck operations, including washdowns, mooring. They frequently have heli ops- so the ability to follow instruction well, stay focused under pressure, and work efficiently is essential. The yacht has high guest interaction, so a well-presented, personable, and professional manner is also key.
Although the yacht is currently for sale, it remains fully operational and very active, offering a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.
We’re looking for someone who is forward-thinking, hands-on, and eager to get involved. This role would suit a candidate who is looking to gain experience on a busy, professionally managed yacht and become part of a strong, supportive crew. A Yachtmaster is preferred but not essential.
