The Candidate Specification
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Rotational Sous Chef to join a busy 100M+ private yacht. The position is expected to start around 25th-28th April, joining in France, and operates on a 2:2 rotation.
The successful candidate will assist the Crew Head Chef in a high-volume galley, preparing meals for approximately 35 crew, increasing to up to 65 crew and guest support staff, including butlers and security. During owner or guest trips, you will also assist the Guest Chef with guest food preparation. The role involves a busy summer season, so energy, efficiency, stamina and a positive attitude are essential.
We are looking for someone who can produce healthy, varied, and well-presented meals, while also assisting with galley operations such as BBQ preparation and service. Candidates should be outgoing, confident, and able to work independently when required. The ideal candidate will bring a bubbly, happy energy to the team and integrate seamlessly with crew members.
Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with knowledge of a variety of cooking styles and the ability to work in a fast-paced galley. Candidates located nearby may be invited to participate in a trial prior to joining.
