Summary
TYS Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Lead Deckhand to join a highly professional 60m+ motor yacht.
The vessel is concluding its winter program in Nassau, Bahamas, and is preparing for a transatlantic crossing to Barcelona to kick off a busy Mediterranean charter season. While the yacht is dual-season, the program remains heavily owner-focused during its time in the USA and Bahamas. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned deckhand looking for a step up into a lead role within a stable and supportive environment.
The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Lead Deckhand who can lead by example and assist the Bosun in overseeing the deck department. You should be proficient in all aspects of exterior maintenance and be ready to hit the ground running for a busy summer.
- Start Date: 1st April 2026
- Rotation: 5:1
- Salary: €3,300 (Rising to €3,500 following a 3-month probation)
- Itinerary: Bahamas / USA / Mediterranean
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: 1.5 – 2 years of solid experience on 50m+ vessels.
- Skills: Strong maintenance pedigree (painting, varnishing, and general deck upkeep).
- Visas: B1/B2 Visa is highly preferred.
- Attributes: Professional, energetic, and a team player.
- Restrictions: Strictly non-smoking. Male due to cabin arrangements.
