Summary
We are preparing for the delivery of a 100m+ Northern European new-build private motor yacht, scheduled to enter full global operations shortly.
The vessel will operate under a private ownership structure with a professional bridge team and clearly defined operational standards. We are building a long-term, stable crew culture with high expectations around safety, seamanship, and discretion.
We are now seeking a confident and structured 2nd Officer to join the yacht ahead of delivery and transition into full operational service.
Key Responsibilities
Navigation & Watchkeeping
- Bridge watchkeeping in accordance with STCW requirements
- Detailed passage planning and route monitoring
- ECDIS management and chart corrections
- Maintenance of navigational publications and bridge documentation
- Supporting pilotage and port operations
Safety & Compliance
- Assisting in the management of onboard Safety Management System (SMS)
- Conducting regular safety equipment inspections
- Coordinating and participating in emergency drills
- Supporting ISM/ISPS compliance
- Assisting with flag and port state inspections
Operational Support
- Assisting the Chief Officer in deck operation planning
- Participating in mooring and anchoring operations
- Supporting tender and toy operations when required
- Maintaining safety and bridge inventory control
Requirements
- Valid OOW Unlimited (preferred) or OOW Yachts 3000 GT
- All certificates valid and in good standing
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as OOW on 70m+ yachts (100m+ preferred)
- Strong ECDIS proficiency
- Solid understanding of ISM/SMS procedures
- Confident bridge presence and clear communication skills
- Calm, structured and detail-oriented
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
