Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sole Chef to join a Private/Charter Med based, single season 50m MY.
Our ideal candidate is culinary trained with a few years of yachting experience. He/she will be responsible for the overall management of the galley department, menu planning, provisioning, and cooking for 11 crew and 12 guests.
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient candidate with strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Our ideal candidate is adaptable and skilled in a variety of cuisines, capable of creating exciting, fresh menus for the owning family and his children, for charter clients as well as the crew. Confidence in sourcing local ingredients, along with resourcefulness and the ability to efficiently plan for periods between provisioning.
Many of the crew onboard have worked for the owner for a long time, so crew retention is HIGH.
The owner enjoys fish and seafood, fresh and healthy dishes, however our chef must be confident in making desserts for guests and charter clients. We value individuals who are down-to-earth, friendly, and caring, with a great sense of humour and good banter with an easy-going personality.
The yacht fosters a strong teamwork mentality, and everyone chips in to help where they can to maintain a supportive and professional atmosphere.
The yacht is a single season MED based MY.
