Bosun – Private 50m M/Y
We are currently seeking a hands-on and motivated Bosun to join a well-maintained 50m private motor yacht based in Italy. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional and close-knit deck team of four, cruising the Mediterranean for the season. The ideal candidate will be practical, detail-oriented, and confident leading deck operations to a high standard.
Only candidates currently based in Europe will be considered.
Start date: ASAP
Itinerary: Mediterranean (single season cruising)
Package: Salary DOE, 60 days’ paid leave
Experience/Skills required:
• Minimum 1–2 seasons’ experience as a Bosun or senior Deckhand on 45m+ yachts
• Strong skills in repairs, painting, varnishing, and general deck maintenance
• Good product knowledge and understanding of deck equipment and materials
• Experience supervising and working within a team of 4 deck crew
• Proactive attitude with solid organisational and communication skills
Qualifications required:
• Yacht Rating Certificate
• STCW (fully updated) with PSA/PDSD
• Seafarer's Medical Certificate
• Seaman’s Discharge Book (preferred)
