Summary

EXCITING ROTATIONAL HOUSE MANAGER OPPORTUNITY SUPPORTING UHNW FAMILY

Location: Berkshire & London, plus additional UK properties

Contract: Permanent, Rotational

Salary: £55,000 per annum

Status: Live-out

A really exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a discreet House Manager to support an ultra-high net-worth family on a rotational basis in their Berkshire and London homes, as well as travelling occasionally to their additional UK properties. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role requiring discretion, sound judgement and the ability to oversee a broad range of operational, logistical and people-focused responsibilities.

The House Manager will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running, maintenance and long-term care of all residences within the portfolio, which includes oversight of property maintenance, project coordination and ensuring each home is consistently presented to the highest standard. You will lead and support housekeeping and gardening teams, fostering a culture of excellence, professionalism and continuous improvement, ensuring that staff are well trained, properly resourced and motivated.

Managing all administration and organisation for the properties, including inventories, maintenance schedules and contractors, procurement, and utility bills, you will be a proactive self-starter, who is able to work autonomously with little direction. Additional skills in hosting guests and events, service and packing will also be required, as well as a team player mentality and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. With a kind and friendly disposition, you will naturally have a warm and welcoming approach, as well as demonstrable longevity in prior roles.

Usual hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility when necessary for the proper fulfilment of duties, or to meet unexpected or urgent demands. The role is offered on a rotational schedule of 1-week on/1-week off, though a degree of flexibility is required to accommodate slightly longer rotations if the family’s schedule requires it. Having a valid UK driving license is required for this role, as you will be required to drive between residences regularly.
