A fantastic opportunity has become available for a professional, switched on and dedicated House Assistant to support a high-net-worth family in their Central London residence. Managing and working alongside a small team in this informally staffed household, you will be organised, versatile and personable, ensuring the smooth running of this busy family home.
Duties will include wardrobe management, packing and unpacking for the family, liaising with contractors and suppliers, ordering household supplies, keeping inventories updated, running errands, and overseeing guest lunches and other events. The Chef manages the bulk of the food shopping, but you will be responsible for ordering the family’s preferred snacks and beverages, as well as toiletries, amenities and medicines and ensuring that sufficient stock levels are always maintained.
Well-presented, friendly and intuitive, you will be able to deliver a professional front of house service, as well as support the housekeepers with hands-on housekeeping, laundry, light cooking and pet care duties when required. There are two small dogs in the home, so it’s essential that the housekeeper is pet friendly.
Working from Monday to Friday from 7am-3pm, you will be required to work every third weekend (8am-4pm) with two days off in lieu the following week. The family are looking to employ a team player with a can-do attitude and a willingness to muck in where required to facilitate the smooth running of the home.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· Informal service, laying and clearing tables, food & beverage service (breakfast and the occasional guest lunch)
· Ordering and receiving household supplies, amenities, toiletries, medicines etc.
· Inventory management and stock rotation
· Dealing with deliveries and returns; liaising with contractors and suppliers
· Packing and unpacking suitcases; wardrobe management
· Running household and personal errands for the principals
· Assisting the housekeepers with housekeeping, laundry, light cooking and pet care as needed
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
· Prior experience in an UHNW private household or onboard a superyacht
· Brilliant interpersonal skills and the ability to read a room
· Excellent standard of verbal and written English & the right to live and work in the UK
· Polished and well-presented, personable and friendly
· Excellent attention to detail and a team player with a can-do attitude
· Responsible, reliable and flexible
· London-based
· Excellent checkable references
