Summary

A lovely UHNW family is seeking a highly capable, service-oriented Stewardess/Housekeeper to join their Hamptons residence for the summer season (June–September). Working under the direction of the Head Housekeeper, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining exceptional housekeeping standards while supporting food and beverage service when required. This role is ideal for a polished, hands-on professional who understands the pace and precision of superyacht service and is looking to transition those standards into a high-end private summer residence.


The Housekeeper will be responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of all guest and family bedrooms, bathrooms and living spaces, ensuring five-star standards of presentation throughout the property. This includes meticulous turn-up and turn-down service, bathroom servicing, replenishment of amenities and linens, and maintaining wardrobes and personal spaces with care and discretion.


Providing assistance with with food and beverage service during family meals, events and gatherings, you will be polished, personable and confident interacting with principals, ensuring smooth, attentive and unobtrusive support. The role requires close attention to detail, excellent time management and the ability to anticipate needs, ensuring a memorable summer for the family. The Housekeeper will also assist the laundress with laundry, ironing, wardrobe organisation and packing/unpacking support as and when needed.


Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the family’s schedule is of essence, therefore every day might be different. The family are really lovely and make sure that staff get rest, though it is very busy over the summer season, so days can be long. Accommodation is offered within the house in a private bedroom on a separate staff floor, with food and beverages included.

 

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

·       Deliver meticulous daily housekeeping across bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas, maintaining five-star presentation standards at all times

·       Carry out detailed turn-up and evening turn-down service, including bathroom servicing, linen refresh, amenity replenishment and careful attention to personal spaces

·       Support the Head Housekeeper with formal and informal food and beverage service during family meals, events and gatherings

·       Assist with laundry, ironing and wardrobe organisation when required

·       Provide packing and unpacking assistance for the principals and guests, maintaining discretion and efficiency

·       Work closely with the wider team to ensure the residence remains immaculate, guest-ready and calm throughout the summer season


ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

·       Yachting background preferred (2nd Stewardess level on 50–60m yacht or similar)

·       Experience in UHNW private households or high-end hospitality

·       Strong housekeeping and turn-down standards

·       Confident assisting with formal and informal service

·       Highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive

·       Calm, discreet and professional at all times

·       Comfortable working within a structured team environment

·       Willingness to be on call as needed

·       Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence interacting with HNW individuals

·       Right to live and work in the USA

·       Brilliant checkable references
