Relief Captain – 29m Charter Motor Yacht

Location: South of France
We are seeking an experienced and professional Relief Captain for a 29-meter charter motor yacht for the upcoming summer season. This is a temporary contract covering May 1st through August 22nd, ideal for a captain between full-time positions or seeking a seasonal command opportunity.

- Cruising itinerary: South of France, Sardinia, Sicily
- Well-maintained, professionally managed program
Responsibilities:
- Safe navigation and overall command of the vessel
- Passage planning and itinerary coordination
- Oversight of crew operations and onboard leadership
- Ensuring compliance with all maritime regulations and flag state requirements
- Budget management and expense tracking during contract
- Liaison with owners, management company, marinas, and service providers
- Maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and guest experience
Requirements:
- Valid Master 200GT (minimum) or higher certification commercially endorsed
- Valid STCW, ENG1 (or equivalent medical)
- Strong navigation and ship-handling skills
- Proven command experience on similar-sized motor yachts
- Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
- Ability to integrate smoothly with the existing crew
- Strong knowledge of safety management systems and regulatory compliance
- Proven charter record
- Engineering/mechanical knowledge
- Experience cruising in the South of France, Sardinia, Sicily
