Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and professional Female Yacht Captain to take full command of a 25-meter private motor yacht, operated exclusively for the Owner and his guests.
This is a permanent, Dubai-based role. The successful candidate must be willing to relocate to Dubai and be permanently based there. This is not a temporary, seasonal, or rotational position.
The role requires strong leadership, hands-on operational competence, and a high level of discretion, with a focus on safety, reliability, and smooth day-to-day yacht operations.
Key Responsibilities
Vessel Command & Navigation
- Full command of the yacht, including safe navigation, maneuvering, and passage planning
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, flag state, and local authority requirements
- Monitor weather conditions and plan routes accordingly
- Maintain navigational charts, electronic systems, and voyage documentation
Safety & Compliance
- Overall responsibility for the safety of the vessel, guests, and crew
- Implement and enforce safety procedures, drills, and emergency protocols
- Maintain safety equipment in full working order
- Ensure compliance with inspections, certifications, and insurance requirements
Operational Management
- Day-to-day operational management of the yacht while based in Dubai
- Coordinate and supervise any crew onboard (if applicable)
- Manage fuel, provisioning, berthing, and port formalities
- Liaise with marinas, agents, service providers, and authorities in the UAE and abroad
Maintenance & Technical Oversight
- Oversee routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs
- Coordinate with engineers, shipyards, and contractors
- Monitor vessel systems (engines, generators, electrical, mechanical)
- Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
Owner & Guest Relations
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Owner regarding yacht operations
- Deliver a professional, discreet, and service-oriented experience
- Adapt operations to the Owner’s preferences and schedule
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
Administration & Budget Control
- Manage operational expenses in line with agreed budgets
- Use company-issued credit card for vessel-related expenses
- Maintain expense records and operational reporting
- Report regularly to the Owner or Owner’s representative
Working Conditions
- Permanent, full-time position based in Dubai
- High flexibility required due to the nature of private yacht operations
- Working hours are not fixed and may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Full availability expected during operational periods
- Annual leave subject to prior approval and operational planning
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Valid Master 200 / Yachtmaster Offshore or higher (STCW compliant)
- Proven experience as Captain on yachts of 20–30 meters
- Strong knowledge of UAE / GCC waters (Mediterranean experience is a plus)
- Excellent seamanship and boat-handling skills
- Strong technical and maintenance oversight capability
- Fluent English (additional languages are a plus)
