A professionally managed yacht based in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a capable and well-rounded Stew / Cook to join a calm, well-run program while the vessel is listed for sale.
This is not a chef position. The role is ideally suited to an interior-focused stewardess who enjoys light, healthy cooking for crew and maintaining a beautifully presented yacht.
The Program
- Yacht is for sale with no owner use
- Excellent management and supportive crew environment
- Vessel kept guest-ready at all times for showings
- Occasional broker open houses
- Bigger yacht in the pipeline for the right long-term fit
The Role
- Interior maintenance to high show-standard (cleaning, detailing, presentation)
- Setting up for yacht showings and broker events
- Preparing simple, healthy meals for a crew of 5
- Galley kept clean, organised, and functional (no fine dining or guest service)
- Supporting general day-to-day yacht operations
Schedule & Lifestyle
- Predominantly Monday–Friday, 9–5
- Standard watch rotation applies
- Rare evenings or weekends
- Excellent work-life balance compared to typical yacht roles
Ideal Candidate
- Stew with light cooking experience (crew meals only)
- Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working independently
- Positive, easygoing attitude
- Local to Fort Lauderdale preferred
