Summary
We are looking for a confident Mate/Bosun to join a 37m private sailing yacht
The yacht offers a hands-on sailing programme with traditional systems and a well-run onboard culture.
Currently undergoing maintenance, the yacht will transition into an active Mediterranean season followed by long-term worldwide cruising plans.
The yacht foster a family-orientated programme, the owners sailing,and value crew involvement,
The Ideal Candidate
This is a hands-on position suited to a strong sailor who enjoys variety and responsibility. Duties include:
- Sailing operations (main & genoa handling, mast pulley systems, manual winches)
- Confident Tender driving (4m outboard)
- Minimum Yachtmaster offshore
- Strong sailing experience essential
- Minimum 2+ years’ yacht experience
- Practical, maintenance-minded and proactive
- Schengen visa or right to work within Schengen zone
- No visible tattoos (small/hidden acceptable)
Package & Perks
- Salary: USD 5000 ++ DOE
- Leave: 28 days - Significant downtime in winter and when owners are not onboard
- Weekends off where possible
- Owner discretionary bonus each season (extra month’s pay or additional paid leave)
