Requirements: Valid STCW , PDSD and ENG1 for a minimum of 6 months.
Job description: Previous experience as a Deckhand/Carpenter on high-end luxury yachts or cruise ships preferred. Junior crew with demonstrable carpentry experience ashore will be considered.
- Maintenance of the exterior of the vessel to a high standard by applying correct use of deck products
- Detailed cleaning of deck fittings, furniture, glass, stainless etc.
- Carpentry tasks including; teak repairs and replacements, repairs to interior fixtures and fittings, dismantling/reassembling interior & exterior vessel structure for maintenance access, touch ups, basic cabinet making and installation.
- Designed and developing solutions to carpentry problems.
- Caulking, paint, varnish repairs and touch ups.
