ROTATIONAL SOUS CHEF 45M+
We are seeking a strong rotational Sous Chef to join a 45m+ private, dual-season program currently operating in Europe. This is a well-run private vessel with excellent longevity and a genuinely happy crew, offering a supportive environment to grow and develop as a chef. Amazing position to learn and develop you culinary skills under a very well-versed Head Chef.
The role:
- 45m+ private, single-season program
- Working closely alongside a long-standing Head Chef
- Involved in guest food as well as crew food, with creative licence once confident
- Varied cuisine with extremely high standards - many cuisines, large buffets, focus on Asian & Ottolenghi style - exposure to a lot of different styles of cooking.
- Spends significant time berthed in Greece, allowing for downtime and exploration
- Join a “fantastic boat” (as quoted by the Head Chef) who has been with the owners 5+ years
- Captain with 10+ years longevity with owners, known for being fair, kind, and crew-focused
- Very well-looked-after crew with a harmonious onboard dynamic
- Fitness-focused culture with activities off the boat together
- Regular time alongside in Greece, allowing for a genuine life ashore when owners are not onboard
- Start date: early to mid February
What we’re looking for:
- Ideally culinary-trained with a solid shore-based restaurant background (hotels or restaurants)
- At least one solid season of yachting experience
- Confident across a range of cuisines
- Calm under pressure and organised in a busy galley
- Positive, motivated, and a strong team player
- Female candidate required due to cabin arrangements
- A really keen desire to learn
