Summary
We are currently seeking a Deck Engineer to join a 40m Dual Season Private/Charter Motor yacht.
This is a Dual Season vessel that is currently in Florida, offering a unique opportunity for a Deckhand to join a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional experiences on the water. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall maintenance and operation of deck, ensuring safety and efficiency onboard while showcasing their knowledge. A background in Kitesurfing is useful, contributing to an understanding of aquatic activities and enhancing the onboard experience for guests. The vessel is currently in the shipyard for a short period of time followed by 3 trips before returning to the Mediterranean. The vessel runs with a 13m Chase boat so the ideal candidate will hold their Yacht Master Offshore.
Start Date: Early to Mid February
Candidate requirements:
- Proven experience as a Deck Engineer on motor yachts ranging from 36m to 40m.
- Understanding and familiarity with deck machinery and marine systems.
- Background in Kitesurfing preferred, demonstrating an active lifestyle and experience in aquatic environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities working within a multi-skilled crew.
- Strong tender driving skills as
- Valid STCW and ENG1.
- AEC 1&2.
- Yacht Master Coastal or Higher (Commercially endorsed).
Package:
- Salary: €3,500 - 4,000 pcm
