45m Motor Yacht – First Mate Position
Busy Charter Program
We are seeking a motivated First Mate to join a very busy 45m charter motor yacht with a full calendar, operating throughout the Caribbean and Bahamas. This is an ideal opportunity for a Yachtmaster or a newly qualified OOW who is eager to grow within a fast-paced, high-standard charter program.
This is not a bridge position — while you will stand navigation watches, the program is simply too busy for dedicated bridge time. The role is hands-on and operational, focused on deck leadership, guest experience, and running a tight, professional program.
You will be joining an amazing, hardworking, and positive crew, where teamwork, reliability, and strong work ethic are core to the onboard culture. We are looking for someone who thrives under pressure, takes pride in their work, and wants to contribute long-term to a successful charter operation.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the Caribbean and Bahamas (essential)
- Yachtmaster (or newly qualified OOW)
- Proven longevity on previous vessels
- Outstanding, verifiable references
- Strong tender driving experience
- Offshore fishing experience is a bonus
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to lead by example and manage deck crew effectively
- Comfortable working in a very busy charter environment with short turn arounds
- High attention to detail and consistent performance
- B1/B2 visa and all documents up to date
- Strict no smoking, vaping, or drug use policy
